Shark View Hotel has two addresses: Bahia do Tarrafal, Tarrafal Praia, and Santa Maria on Sal Island. Both houses look toward the Atlantic. The name comes from the long view over the water — including the coast near Shark Bay on Sal.
We keep 60 rooms: 25 Standard, 25 Exclusive and 10 Suites. The numbering is simple and consistent — A1 through Y25 in the larger categories, A1 through J10 in the suites — so that every reservation can name a specific room.
The buildings are low, pale and open to the trade winds. Interiors are cream plaster, dark timber and linen. Days are organised around swimming, resting and eating well. Reception speaks Portuguese and English.
Whether you are here for a week of sea and salt or a few nights between islands, we will take the booking ourselves and look after the stay in person.
